oOh woows! My last post was almost a year ago!!!

So, after 2 long years of hard work (somewhat), I've finally graduated with a Bachelor of Biotechnology, although albeit sadly, without my Dean's List of Commendation (Sem 2) or a good Honours. The Hons Class IIa in my humble opinion is just really mediocre, especially so when its from an Aussie uni, and to make matters worst, its just a 1.1 mark difference!

In case I ever forget what my Honours project was about, heres a brief overview of what i have been doing for the 1 year... it can basically be summarized in several letters, HPLC and PaurTx3. The High Performance Liquid Chromatography is the thoroughly abused by me, purifying roughly 30594326 fractions. While PaurTx3 is this lovely spider toxin that is able to block the central nervous system and killing everything along its path. =P

anddddddd, what am i doing now? the above with monetary benefits. Yay! till end of this year and hopefully beyond. Toying with the idea of doing a GAMSAT for medicine entry/dentistry entry or... hopefully eligible for Masters of Physiotherapy. but that will be something for 2012 since applications are closed for both! Do i foresee myself being more of a medical/healthcare field or research field. No friggin' idea, hoping that it would be the former though!

last update was 25 Feb, 3+mth ago, a week before sem 1 starts, now i'm updating a week before it ends... kekeke

Sem 3.1 almost seems to me like an extended holiday, with only 3courses to take and 1of being the ultimate dortsie module. BUT THE EXAMS ARE COMING AND I AM FREAKING OUT SOON... gotta maintain my GPA to erhemz, show that I'm really erhemz, STUDYING here and not bumming around... =X Lifes preetty mundane, just school, aerobics, cook/bake, occassional outings and dinner gatherings. noticed studying and assignments aint really part of my routine. *GUILTY!*

Started exercising too after a super long hiatus from TKD. It began with overly enthu aerobics sessions mon to sun, for 2-3hrs a day. Now... as always, getting LAZIER.

Started working at IMB for $12/hr, seems like quite a good deal in Sg, but its really cheap labour in Aussie context. Also submitted an application for honours, that means i can get my Sony A300, car car, Wii, and give everybardi a treat! sooooooo... pray for me! 29th june

looking forward to the coming June holis as 2 close friends are coming. WOOHOO! so anybody who wanna get me a 21st bday pressie but feels the pinch for postage, pls contact me and i can arrange for courier service. LOL. *DONT KILL ME CYs*

I had 2 out of my 4 wisdom tooth/teeth removed! So now im only half as smart as before. Luckily i still have the remaining 2 which should provide enough wisdom for me~

Super cool experience, i had a catheter installed and some sedative injected. All i could remember was... the Anaesthesist clipped some heartbeat thingy on my finger and the nurse was checking the bp... *fast forward 1.5hr?* somebody woke me up and the operation was completed?! so fast~~~!!! i din get to take pics lor. And felt super groggy and phlegm-y! Stale blood smells!!! Dinner was chocolate flavoured oats, I suspect that will be breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea, dinner and supper for at least 3 day.

*WAILS!!! I LEFT MY WISDOMs AT THE DENTAL CLINIC!!!*

Got my lappy today!!! And the Harvey Norman sales guy is damn nice. He was afraid that the delivery ppl might manhandle my lappy so he delivered it to my place personally. Andd... he had to make 2 trips cos i had the dental appt in the morning. And he kinda looks and speaks like Gregory Chow too!!!

My lappy is damn cool... i used to think that fingerprint recognition is cool, now lappy comes with FACE recognition. wooh. Got my lappy for 1514bucks and an additional 1+4 year warranty, can be used at any Harvey Norman outlets, yup... including Aussie!!! Downside is... im stucked with this fugly lappy for 5years?! I badly need a laptop skin. which notebook brand is known for its fugly design. kekeke... non other than Lenovo, or previously known as IBM.

2009/upcoming semester resolution

had some thoughts about this while bathing, so decided to pin them down in this deserted blog of mine...

2008 was a year of major academic milestones. Graduated from NP and NPTKD (stucked with a black-tip) with an average GPA of 3.1 which doesnt qualify me to any of the local unis. Enrolled into University of Queensland, Bachelor of Biotechnology majoring in Microbiology and given a generous 2years exemptions which gave me direct entry to the third year. Despite all the problems with crappy modules projects, i did not do too badly either... GPA of 6 is kinda common in my major so i dont regard it as anything outstanding. Had a 2-mth research internship with the Istvan Toth Group and managed to get my final product after THREE blardy attempts breaking glasswares and spilling hazardous chemicals along the way.

Other first attempts include travelling to BKK with my TKD mates, working as an admin staff for CFLT and Citibank doing the most mundane stuff and failing the driving test with 38 blardy points. The heartwarming stuff includes the *coughs!!* grand sending off i got from NPTKD, FO1 peeps and the AES mates... and me sending my parents off from Brisbane Airport... =( There are probably thousands of first times that involves living overseas so to sum it all up, lets just say... I've promoted from being the person who couldnt even cook rice to the bsker who made pineapple tarts from scratch.

so for 2009 and the upcoming semester... i wish to...
- maintain the GPA
- improve relationships with family, friends, relatives, housemate, coursemates, schoolmates (i have some kind of attitude problem and not-so-approachable/friendly character)
- get involve in some "CCA", canoe and/or taekwondo
- be a more outgoing person, less introvert, less passive, know more ppl and get out of my usual comfort zone.
- get a driving license from Aus?
- go travelling before honours?
- improve dress sense, make up skills, better complexion, lose weight... heeheehee!

blogged at this kinda of ungodly hours, had a realization that most of my friends are mere... acquaintance... i really need to forge better relation with peepos.

completed my summer research proj, had fun at Toth group, synthesized some peptides, got to know new ppl esp my cute cute supervisor, shopped alot, baked alot of cny goodies, watched alot of movies online, presented my ppt, wrote my report, cleaned up the house, watched the same advertisement for 3 consecutive nights while rolling my pineapple tarts, packed my bag (less than 20kg), flew home on SQ236.

watched duchess on the flight, had 2 blargh meals, bought johnnie walker and hoegarden (red wine is overprice here!!!), went back from T3, show offed my bakes, went to both grandmas' place for cny eve dinner, showed off my bakes again... this time by my mum..., wore my jay jays stuff for CNY... dad says i wore as if im going for a picnic =P , watched loads of telly, ate loads of nuts, had homecooked chicken rice... first time in chua family cny dinner history, lo hei-ed with the funny adults, watched more tv, ate more cookies, met bee and bro for movie which is totally blah, HOME!

nowwwwwwwwwwww, im boredddddddddddddd...... zzzzzzz.

Bishi Bashi + Harbour Town-ed + Cheesecake

Went to the city on Friday, being coop up in St Lucia kampung isnt too healthy, suddenly large crowds scare me!!! Like where did all these ppl came from? hurhurhur. Will be back to normal in Singapore, since the Sg's toowong equivalent, WESTMALL is so friggin crowded every single day. Had dinner at Pancake Manors, Mexicana crepe and Macadamia nut pancake which was super good!!! tested my Bishi-bashi skills, sad to say, i lost the magical bashibashi touch alr! OH NOS!!

YAAAAAAAAY!!! Lotsa DFO, so presumably, lotsa great bargains and shopping? Not for me though?! Only got 1 FCUK tee, and... thats about it?! Wanted to get a Adidas jacket at $50, but i wanted to get the UQ jacket more... and its quite ridiculous to buy both, so gave up the Adidas one. the $59 polo ralph lauren doesnt interest me either. huh. and all the levis is like high waist which is quite dortsie... luckily, managed to have a somewhat good lunch there to justify the trip.
PS: i bought the UQ jacket alr...

Cheesecake sunday
Baked a Lemon-Lime cheesecake on Sunday. Kinda failed.
1) biscuit crumbs too fine, no crunchy bits
2) added too much liquid => soggy
3) forgot to bake the crust first, resulting in super soggy cheesecake base
4) fogot to add eggs while beating the cream cheese, no idea whats the implication, prolly not fluffy?
5) pan kinda too big, resulting in super thin cake...
at least the taste is still alright... shall bring it to the lab and HOPE that they wont mind a baseless cheesecake.

Monday - Peptide day!
coupled the last amino acid and azide... hopefully the unbrowness is not a cause for concern!

STARTED OFF THE DAY IN A GLOOMY MODE, SUDDENLY THERES SO MUCH CARS DRIVING ALONG SIR FRED SCHONELL AND I COULDNT CROSS THE ROAD, SO GOTTA TAKE A LONGER ROUTE TO THE LAB. THEN, THERES A LACK OF REAGENT... AT LEAST MY COUPLING EFFICIENCY WAS ALRIGHT AND I PROCEEDED ON WITH THE NEXT AMINO ACID...

THAT WAS DISASTROUS!!!
HAPPILY WASHING MY RESIN WITH DFM -> DCM -> TFA -> DMF... IT WAS ALL DONE AND I WANTED TO SHAKE THE RESIN ABIT, SO I TOOK IT OUT AND OF COURSE I GOTTA CLAMP IT BACK. HEARD A FAINT CRACKING SOUND AND TADANG, THE BLARDY BURETTE CRACKED AND BROKE AND MY RESIN WITH 8 BLARDY AMINO ACIDS FLOW OUT... UNSTOPPABLE! THAT 8 AMINO ACIDS TOOK LIKE A 4DAYS TO COUPLE!? ENTIRE WEEK'S WORK IS GONEEE... T_T

SO FINE... TOLD MY SUP ABOUT IT, LUCKILY HES COOL ABOUT IT. PHEW~

EXAMS' OVER!!!

Yayyyyyyyyy, completed ONE out of the four semesters in UQ! Its really really fast... school started on 21 July, and for me, ended on 8 Nov, thats one semester, and in between there was like a 2week break.

Went to Wet N Wild in Gold Coast yesterday! FUN!!! But they dont really have alot of rides, got boring, tiring, and PAINFUL towards the end. Walked around bare-footed in semi scorched gravel floor... Though that shouldnt be a prob if i had tried running and kicking bare-footed in NP track, but after so long without TKD, my feet became smoother, daintier and soft *cough~!* again. The Gold Coast train is damn cool... its like super high tech with automated doors(gotta press buttons to open that kind) and TOILET!!! Toilet in the train! Imagine thatt... those plane toilet kind. But then... poorly maintained. ultra gross, and i think the flush wasnt working! YUCKS.

Had a massive cooking session at michelle's place on Sat.

Then we went to Southbank for "How to lose friends and alienate people", a show chosen purely based on its timeslot. hurhur. But thankfully, the movie turns out to be good! Quite funny! And lotsa x-rated scene. hurhur, like nude tranny and stuff... I LOVE BRITISH ACCENT! hah.

Had lunch at Pancake Manors on Sunday! Seafood crepe and the normal pancake. Word of advice, the chicken crepe is much better than the seafood one... Of course the pancakes were good as usual, ice cream and maple syrup, whohh. Tried to do some shopping in the city, but the shops close at FIVE pm. Bought an ultra cheapo $5 shades which i dont think i will ever wear it again... regretted not buying the one i saw at WnW!

Then Monday it was WET N WILD!!! And Pancake Manor-ed again... VERY FATTENING after a 6inch subway... and speaking of subway, that guy from subway, meyers centre kinda pissed me off cos i couldnt understand what is he talking abouttttt!!! Speaks slower lah dude!

Yayyy!!! One of the toughest paper down! Okay lar, all are tough... WAS having quite high expectations for this, like a 6? Felt qqquuiiiiiteeeee prepared until the like 2am when i suddenly feel i hadnt studied enough, but too late to do anything la, so went to sleep and prepare for the morning. Cant believe i woke up at 5+ and saw the sky being so blardy bright, i was like shittttttttt?! late?! when it wss 5+ hurh. Special thanks to Terrence and Michelle for the morning call, paiseh, abit paranoid la, being late for exams isnt that UNcommon for me. =X

The system is kinda weird though, like we gotta queue up and take a seat number as if we are going for a movie or something. Then i got assigned to 39... almost couldnt find my seat, hah, so paiseh, it was alllllllllllllllll the way at the back. Thenn there this little portion where we write out full name and sign and the best thing is, we had to fold it down and LICK THE GLUE-ish part, so we HAD like 5 booklets and gotta lick ALLLL of them. -_-!!! Dont know whats with the secrecy lor, might as well just leave out the names and based it on student number will do... lick and seal, for whats the purpose leh?! Never been so malu-ed in my entire exams life, like i was the LASSTT to hand in my paper and gotta lick my booklet with the examiner beside me, cos apparently we had to separate everything into 5booklets, and i din, and i still gotta hand in the empty booklets and explain why.

Felt that the paper was alright, cos most qns were like recycled. BBUT... when i know how to do and yet cant finish, thats the worst worst worst thing ever. its like 120 blardy marks in 2hrs. 1min/mark!? Dont need to think or even read one meh?! And the questions comes in like 5-10marks like that. ARGH. Soo... highly doubtful i will hit a SIX for this la. praying hard~~~ but quite impossible. when i have like so many uncompleted questions.

ISFPs are the first to hear the different drummer. Many eagerly plunge into new fashions, avant garde experiences, 'hip' trends--some even setting the trends.

More in touch with the reality of their senses than their INFP counterparts, ISFPs live in the here and now. Their impulses yearn to be free, and are often loosed when others least expect it. The ISFP who continually represses these impulses feels 'dead inside' and may eventually cut and run. (One ISFP friend has become nonambulatory within the past few years. He will still, on impulse, leave home in the middle of the night and go to Las Vegas or wherever, regardless of the difficulties of his physical condition.)

ISFPs may be quite charming and ingratiating on first acquaintance, flowing with compliments which may (or may not) be deserved. On other occasions, the same individual may be aloof and detached. Some ISFP males are fiercely competitive, especially in sport or table games, and may have great difficulty losing. This competitive nature, also seen in other SP types, sometimes fosters 'lucky,' 'gut' feelings and a willingness to take risks.

Organized education is difficult for the majority of ISFPs, and many drop out before finishing secondary education. Their interest can be held better through experiential learning, at which many excel. ISFPs will practice playing an instrument or honing a favored skill for hours on end, not so much as practice as for the joy of the experience.

Differential diagnosis:
ISFPs are less fantasy-oriented than INFPs. These types are often confused, however, INFPs lean strongly to daydreams, poetry, prose and more philosophical pursuits; ISFPs often live out 'id' experiences rather than writing or even talking about them.

ISFJs are driven by the conventional, by 'should's and 'ought's; ISFPs internalize their Feeling (by nature a judging function) which bursts out spontaneously and leaves as quickly and mysteriously as it came.

Because of these variant expressions of Feeling judgement, ISFPs are sometimes confused with ESFJs, but keep themselves more aloof, more often concealing the feelings that ESFJs are so apt to expose.

ESFPs express thoughts more readily (and, in the main, skillfully). ISFPs can and do perform admirably in the spotlight, but generally have little to say about the performance. For example, few ISFPs would be disc-jockeys, a field strongly represented by ES_Ps.

Functional Analysis:

Introverted Feeling
Feeling, unbridled by the external forces of society and substance, is the dominant function. ISFPs spontaneously develop their own codes and credos, about which they are quite sober and intense. ISFPs are questors, driven to find the pure and ideal, as personally and individually defined. Feeling may temporarily turn outward, but cannot be long sustained beyond its cloistered home.

If the individual has values greater than herself, feeling may express itself in valiant acts of selflessness. Turned in upon self, however, it becomes an unscrupulous, capricious enigma, capable even of heinous acts of deception and treachery.

Extraverted Sensing
ISFPs keep a finger on the pulse of here and now. They are more adept at doing than considering, at acting than reflecting, at tasting than wondering. As do most SPs, ISFPs keenly sense color, sound, texture, and movement. It is not unusual for ISFPs to excel in sensory, motor, or kinesthetic abilities.

ISFPs cherish their impulses. Some of the most beautiful, graceful, and artistic performances are the result of this drive for physical, sensate expression.

Introverted iNtuition
Tertiary intuition works best in the background of the ISFP's inner world. Perhaps this is the source of the "gut feeling" SPs consult in matters of chance. However "lucky" the ISFP may be, intuition as a means of communication is a poor servant, evidenced in spoonerisms, and non sequiturs and mixed metaphors.

Extraverted Thinking
The ISFP may employ Extraverted Thinking in external situations requiring closure. As is the case with inferior functions, such Thinking behaves in an all or nothing manner. Thus, as with other FP types, the ISFP's Extraverted Thinking is at risk for a lack of context and proportion. In most cases, persons of this type enjoy greater facility operating in the open-ended style of sensing, implying the opinions of feeling values in the indirect fashion characteristic of introverted functions.

two weeks to exams and i am soooooooooooooooooooo dead!!!

1.) There are still reports to be completed. 60% and 10% respectively.
2.) Because of point 1, i couldnt start my revision.
3.) Because of point 1 and 2, i havent started my revision and im getting stress with the exams coming in two weeks.
4.) because of point 1 and 2 which leads to point 3, i am getting fat. Cos with stress, i'll need to destress, and the most fattening way of destressing is to EAT. Chocolate contains small quantities of anandamide, an endogenous cannabinoid found in the brain. Sceptics claim one would need to consume several pounds of chocolate to gain any very noticeable psychoactive effects; and eat a lot more to get fully stoned. having the bu-shuang bu-shuang feeling. getting pissed easily. But when im pissed, i dont usually go and declare my bu-shuangness to the entire world, nor do i give attitude at people, can get quite pretentious at times. blargh.

anyway...

presenting my second attempt of Gordon Ramsay's blueberries muffins!

slight modification made.

Wholemeal blueberry muffins Makes 12
2 large, very ripe bananas (i had 3, so... just used up all lor)
300g wholemeal flour (not enough, so mix with plain flour)
One and a half tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
Pinch of fine sea salt (normal salt used)
100g light muscovado or brown sugar (kao, cant bear to add so much. added a few tbsp)
284ml carton buttermilk (no buttermilk, replaced with yogurt)
1 large egg, lightly beaten (beat until crazy)
75g light olive oil (or melted butter) (reduced to 1 tbsp)
200g blueberries, rinsed and drained (i used kiwi apple and blueberries! kiwi's nicest!)
1 tbsp Demerara sugar (dont have, din use)
METHOD Heat the oven to 180°C/Gas 4. Line a 12-hole muffin tin with muffin cases. Peel the bananas and mash in a bowl, using a fork. Mix the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, salt and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the buttermilk, egg, olive oil and bananas. Quickly fold the ingredients together until just incorporated, taking care not to overmix. Tip in the blueberries and give the batter one or two stirs.
Spoon the batter into the muffin cases and sprinkle with the Demerara sugar. The cases will be quite full. Bake in the oven for about 20-25 min until well risen and golden brown on top; a skewer inserted into the centre of the muffin should emerge clean.
Leave to cool in the tin for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

think i somewhat followed the above recipe bah. The final verdict was... GOOD!!! YUMMY! Fruity, fluffy and moist, just abbitttttt tooo moist. hah. but nice leh. The kiwi ones are superb! at least for me lar, love the tangy tangy taste. Yays.

and i had a tutor who looks like FeiXiang, the angmoh version. Super shuai and very very MAN!!!

Tues - Loads of chocolates and arnotts brick biscuits. Plus pizza at 9pm!!! 3 hugeeeeeee slices of pizza with 1 garlic bread, 1/3 of a banana, a bowl of meesuah and subsequently, 2 oranges, 3 chicken bites thingy and some korean biscotti.

There are some really cuteeeee pink colour(literally birds of the same feather flock together), parrot-lookalike birds hanging out in the open field everyday, around noon. No idea what they are foraging for lor. Ultra cute!!! But timidy, unlike those the ducks which actually approach me for food, the birdies will fly away if im getting closer. Tried to feed them my oaty healthy cookies with chocolate chips removed, they scattered away!!! Tried again with yummy berger bread, still not hiewing me. haiyer, so difficult to take a closer shot.

prolly gained 500kgs today!!!

had supposedly quite healthy lunch of my tomato-potato brown rice with frozen veges, topped with cookies and arnotts...

and for dinner...

Salt and Battery(Energizer, hah!)... The supposedly best Fish N Chips in St Lucia, packed to the max, and the food took about 30+mins in total?! We had grilled Cod fish with chips, calamari and prawn. Super fattening. Kinda bland, but alrightey la, maybe grilled fish isnt super to have a very strong taste in the first place.

Then, back at home, while watching parts of Monte Cristo,
i had a mandarin orange, arnotts and yogurt icecream!!! After a super filling dinner leh, kaoz.

And then had supper with Michelle/Terrence and friends. SUPER DUPER ULTRA MINIMANIMA FATTENING!
- 1 chocolate pancake --> omg, whipped cream and ice-cream!
- Mushroom crepes --> okay, maybe not so fattening, but its still cream based.
- waffle with caramel --> dont like caramel and the waffle is like DUNKED in caramel, super gooey...
- TONS OF FRIES --> Fried carbo and oil... =X

Andd... im gonna try baking! heh heh heh.

Went for the EKKA exhibition thing with Vivian and Huijie, and thanks to vivian's friend for sending us there! =D
Ekka festival is basically a hugeeeee exhibition thing that spans over many days, which can be inclusive of anything Brissy related suitable for young and old, but the main focus i think, is still on their agricultural stuff, so theres alot of animals involved. And i like animals! So happy for me!

Went back to NP for my last TKD training, finally went back after like soooo long?! Haaaah, my not very worthy de XIA DING JUE SIN. Blehz. But cui-ed liao la, cant kick, and kick once or twice then got ultra tired. And!!! The stewpid Bee and QM forced me to xiasuay myself and spar with peepos! How to join UQ TKD like thaaaaaaaaaaaat?! For glory of NP TKD and my homeland must buck up! Oh, and Kelvin Sir went to announce to the entire club lor, abit dortsie though, im like a total foreign face to the newbies. And, I finally tried the new Mc Flurry and nuggets! Super sinful dinner at like what, 10.30pm?! OMG.

DEPARTURE !!! TEN TENG TENNGG TEEENGG!!!
Packed till like 3-4am and still couldn’t manage to get everything properly done. Blah. I haaaaaaaate packing, that’s the worst of traveling!
Head to Jurong West to get the blardy $259 specs altered, blardy specs, forever doesn’t fit one. AND THE WORST PART is… I board 157 which took FOREVERRRR to reach! Then went there, took like 20mins and that’s it. 1hr of traveling… And being slightly hiao, i got to go allllll the way to get my hair done. Which ppl later said they cant spot any diff. kns.
On the way back, I splurged on the blardy durian, nv had such an ex durian before, like what… $17 for one?! OMG. But, its good… bitter, gao and with teeny weeny seeds. Cant stop at one, but only have ONE. T_T
First to saw Marc at the airport, he came over while I was checking in. Later, cy came and we all went over to meet 1F01 at popeyes. Lotsa phototaking sessionsss! Then TKD peeps.

Off to Brissy!!!
Watched The Empress and what? her kingdom? Okay, pretty dortsie film… The invented hot air balloon. -_-!! And worst still, SIA no longer has the cute Mario with Yoshi alr, they changed to the gameboy style, which suck!? SIA food is seriously not bad lehh, too bad I had popeyes before… and the complimentary dessert is TOBLERONE!!! WHOOTTZ!!! Too sleepy to watch other movies… wasted.

It kept raining and wouldnt stop! brrrrrrrr, pathetic dinner of Ramyun and kimchi. Somehow, I reverted back to the Korean style over here! YAYY! CHEAP AND GOOD KIMCHI!!! Like $4 for 500g waaaaay cheaper than those shitty ones at home. OH YAH, from now onwards everything is in AUD =.. (
My motel apartment is pretty cool too…

anyway... fast forward la, first few days were spent exploring brisbane city, ON FOOT, Fortitude Valley (chinatown), Queen St Mall (orchard), The Treasury (casino), etc. Quite restricted as we had no car, no internet, no idea how to go to other places. Met up with a friend to go to UQ with our parents and explored the blardy big UQ. Subsequently, my parents' cousin comeover and we did alot more exploring, shopping, and eating! Sunnybank has nice nice asian food! Nandos has nice nice chicken!

moved into my place on 11/7. My place is called The Manors, sound very regal, but the estate manager is quite sucky, and quite well known for being so. =X ... step on her toes and she'll start barking her head off! And my place is huge and super empty, besides all the fixed furnitures, theres virtually NOTHING else. its still very sparse now lar.

settling okay already, still very lazy, hardly do any form of revision. whoopsie. must must must study hard, if not is $$ down brisbane river.

Officially started school on the 21, now is my third week in school.

I finally went jogging!!!
My favourite place now is... Coles/Woolsworth/K-Mart... all the super markets
I watched BATMAN for $5.70aud!!! on weekend! But... is free seating and the commercials is like 40mins long.

I cook, i clean, and i promise to be at home by 7pm everyday.

I went to the aussie pasam malam market at 9am!!!
I cooked rice for the first time, which turns out more porridgey than rice.
I made kimchi fried rice with the lumpy rice!
I can cook stir fried veggie very well. 1st timer hor.
Pasta is easier to cook than rice.

i went to UQ TKD liao, theirs is ITF version. so... not joining, my chuark chuark fist cannot punch ppl de. But they think i can kick very well... =X heh heh heh.

Work really really do suck! I am like the lowest paid office girl ever. For the pathetic sum of ONE THOUSAND cash, i have to work like a blardy donkey from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. It takes 1hr to the dumb office and 1.5hrs back home. Crazy jams along Bukit Timah rd and Dunearn rd, worst still, normally not seats!

routine works

- check on the gebiz webby for tenders and quotations. relatively easy. but was hellish for the initial days due to the blardy forever-out-of-toner-printer. STRESS.
- do some research thingy for the bossES. which sometimes is sooo irritating cos all the info i got was like, "find me all the info of hostels in singapore and their rates and availabilty in july", "find me the rates of all 3* hotels in Sg*
- collect letters and deposit cheques and etc etc etc.
- update the movement chart... which i asked the staff to DIY.
- pao tea for the lazy boss.

eve of Departure
Met up at the stupid crowded JP and then proceeded to a super duper far place to exchange some Bahts... like just $200sgd worth of it(ME). thennn, it was frantic packing session!

Singapore Changi Airport (T1) to the new Bangkok Airport...
had a super crazy breakkie of POPEYES chicken, and it kinda sucked. Prolly nobody will have fried chix for breakkie so those that we had were leftovers?! lalala~~~

Flew off in an Airasia plane, really kinda lokkok looking. nvm, at least its CHEAP, thats most impt liao.

2+hrs, arrived at the airport, took like 1hr to cross the blardy snail-crawling custom. then hopped on to a cheap cheap cab from airport to Asia Hotel. too bad the cabbie blabbering some thai thingy. nobardi understand also.

okay, basically is alot of shopping, like shopping after shopping after shopping. just list down the shopping-ed places.

1st day.
pratunum??? platinum??? area... wholesale stuff. get cute cute dortsie tees at 110baht.

Dinner, some lousy foodcourt dessert. but mango sticky rice is nice!

2nd day.
MBK... super duper mega far east centre. tons of small small shop selling the same stuff. get dortsie bian tai tees @ 99bahts. and whatever fake brand stuff.

Thai massage, 200bahts/hr. apparently, we got tokked (chopped). got cheaper and better ones avail. but dunnoe where. the hotel one is 500bahts.

Suan Lum night market. Dun get things from here, its more exp and sellers are very attitude.

Dinner, omg, kns, some stewpid tomyam maggi mee with chiken... !!!

3rd day
CHATUCHAK (JJ market?). super duper ultra mega watashiwa HUGE pasam malam, must wear as comfy as possible. BLARDY WARM! Drink alot of 10bahts mineral water... should prolly try to get the map. =..( din get to see the cute cute (but cruel) pets section.

Met up with Bee's super lihai cousin at the esplanade, where no cabbies know how to go. -_-||, thai cabbies dun really know how to go to alot of places one leh. very lousy. went to his super atas service apartment... denn, had some friggin spicy salad thingy made by the wifey. very power.

den proceeded to victoria monument thingy, then chinatown, then back to apartment, den cab back hotel. Chinatown food is NICE!!!

4th day
4 face buddha, central world, toastbox.
flight delayed!!! Had the nicest tom yam meal ever. OMG OMG OMG!!! VERY NICE!!!
back home, bot Chivas, hineken and some hoegarden? beer thingy.

oh, so today i went to recruit express for jobs. EXPLOITATION!!! How can they quote me a miserable $6/hr... !!! but, wheres my $1500?! Ewww. No choice, temp ppl are always exploited.

and i had a very interesting KFC experience. Was buying the $5 real deal meal and wanted to have breast and wing but it wasnt available, so i think i awwed a lil. but continued to smile smile to the staff. Then, while i was peeling the thigh meat halfway, i saw the staff with a new set of chicken, came to my table and said that they have a new batch of chicken and then gave me the BOOBS and WING leh!!! She just changed it for me?! soooooooooo nice. She came out specially just to change my set on her own account. WAHH! Felt like a special KFC VIP. heeheh. Very nice leh, next time those who wanna eat in Taka, can try the KFC there, the malay girl in white (manager?) is wery nice. Must be my smileys and politeness!

its seems like just yesterday (3 years ago...) when i had the biigg argument with my parents about taking the poly route instead of the JC route. And just a few days ago, i took my finalest (BETTER BE) paper in Blk 56, Bioprocess Technology, one of the suckiest module ever. The paper was at 9am, and amazingly... i woke up at 8.44am... whoopsie. Then 2hours later, graduated unofficially! YAY!!!

After that, rushed home to apply for NUS, din wanted to apply initally la, not much chances anyway. Chionging-ly anyhow selected 5choices, den rush down to NUS to submit the docs.

Took a dunnoe how long freaking bus ride from NUS to Bukit Panjang... meet up with F01 and Friends peeps! Mahjong mahjong, blackjack, daidee and GREASY KFC!!! OMG, BiBi is sooooooooo cute!!! dennis/tiffy, send me bibi pics leh... soooooo cute!!! SO CUTE!!! OMG! but anti-social =(

rotted and rotted, finally tidied the room. tidying means throwing everything away heartlessly.

Had BB grading preparatory course today. 9 freaking AM. super duper long nv wake up anything earlier than 11 alr. ANYWAY, the course is kinda waste of time and marnie and sleep, basically, we were there to have a bit of mock grading, then those tkd taos will rectify your mistakes, 1 to 1, mine was tanchenghui i think. Quite friendly hah. AND AFTER THAT ITS PATTERN TRNG ALL THE WAY!!! ARGH!!!

I dont have the spring-ish factor.

After a very emo breakfast...

Speed kickings! Alot of kicks, and its like 4 kicks = 1 combi kick and gotta do alottt of combi kick. cheat ppl one. "left, right, double turning, right, left, double turning" followed by some foot exfoliation doing footwork.

Did not complete most of my to-do before 2008 list. Still stucked with the blardy atherosclerosis report for LSSS, blardy France Civil unrest 2005 for WISP. at least FYP report and ITI are done. phewww...

shouldnt really be blogging but... so sick of reading the blardy cholesterol papers. WTH is LSSS for, summarising papers and yet still must go through Turnitin. I really dont care if the apo-E and LDLR deficient mice will get atherosclerosis due to a diet rich in cholesterol ... blarghz.

then is the even suckier WISP, totally not related one. The blardy France civil unrest in 2005 is ... THREE YEARS AGO. who cares la... they dont practice their egalite and liberte is their problem what. Sg is a racial harmony country, irregardless of language, race or religion somemore. They(french) should take WISP and learn from a Sg's perspective instead lor, "equality" and no liberty. Learning from the good example is more impt.

And my laptop crashed... hdd crashed! When i am halfway doing the report and no backups were made. Thats like ultimately sway. It can suddenly just died when you are changing a window or smt. BRITISH author J.K. Rowling has outed one of the main characters of her best-selling Harry Potter series, telling fans in New York that the wizard Albus Dumbledore, head of Hogwarts school, was gay.

Speaking at Carnegie Hall on Friday night in her first US tour in seven years, Rowling confirmed what some fans had always suspected — that she "always thought Dumbledore was gay".

Rowling said Dumbledore fell in love with the charming wizard Gellert Grindelwald, but when Grindelwald turned out to be more interested in the dark arts than good, Dumbledore was "terribly let down" and went on to destroy his rival.

That love, she said, was Dumbledore's "great tragedy".

"Falling in love can blind us to an extent," she said.

The audience reportedly fell silent after the admission then erupted into applause. Rowling, 42, said if she had known that would be the response, she would have revealed her thoughts on Dumbledore earlier.

Fans on the top Potter fan site TheLeakyCauldron.org were divided on the news, some uncertain Rowling wasn't going to backtrack on the announcement, others saying it was unnecessary, and some welcoming the extra information on Dumbledore.

"This is even more awesome because it adds another layer to Dumbledore's character, which is already so rich and complicated. I hope he got over Grindlevald (sic) and fell in love again," wrote Amanda.

Rowling said she had read a script for the movie adaptation of the sixth book in the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and corrected a passage in which Dumbledore was reminiscing about past loves by crossing it out and scrawling "Dumbledore is gay" over it.

Rowling, a mother of three, is estimated to be worth $US1.12 billion ($A1.25 billion), making her the first billionaire author.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — the seventh and final book in the boy wizard series — became the fastest-selling book in history when it was released in July.

And it doesnt helped when my current k750i is only... about 1.25yrs old, costing some $500 from my parents. =X

but w910i very pretty and classy and RED leh...
the only thing i hiam about it is that, 1. only a 2mp camera! 2. expandable memory only 2g, 3.the earpiece slot is at the wrong place lar, 4. no infra-red, my lappy doesnt have bluetooth!!! 5. might be abit too fragile for my butter fingers.

SOOOOOOOOO FUN!!! Hah, despite going out late, taking a wrong bus and missing the right bus, i still managed to reach 5mins before time! WARH. so sibei heng. cos if late will lugi, 1hr of driving lesson cost 24barks hor!

andd... why my instructor so... not young one... even the car is not that young... eee. doesnt feel good sitting in a lao-kok-kok old car, and he doesnt want to switch on the blardy air-con!!! Almost melted inside.

So for the first 30mins, i...
- got brain-washed about the advantages of taking manual.
- learn to hold the steering wheel. (anyone who plays daytona should know this lor)
- adjust the driver's seat, rear mirror, side mirror, etc etc. (NB: PO LI = window, jia shi pang = steering wheel, lift up the right handle =signal left, down=right)
- know the various parts of car...
- vroom-vroomed the engine!!! with handbrake down. hah.
- golden rule: the clutch is a very... (*&^%$#^&$&$ thingy, it needs to be depress blardily far, anddd... it always cause si chia! cant rem very well now... think release clutch too fast is a sure way to get si chia.
- drive forward and reverse 300x. @ gear 1...
- make a u-turn, AND WENT OUT TO THE MAIN ROAD(this part is nerve-wrecking... for me)

so for the next 30mins, i...
-cruised around BBDC area, at a leisure *coff* speed of not exceeding the 3rd gear... think about...30km/h. lol.
- very troublesome to change gear, need to release gas pedal, step on clutch COMPLETELY, change gear, slowwwwwly relase clutch, and slooowwwwwly step on gas. almost freaked out.

just very fun ... exciting, and feels pro-ish.

Celebrated KT and CY's birthday yesterday at a pasta/pizza shop at bugis... ummz, called Sketches. Very very as usually, birthday dinner, followed by surprise bday cake and then movie! Hahaahaha~

no pics leh... marc nv send. tsk. My camera is held hostage at panasonic HQ waiting for me to bail him out... argh. marnie's gone again. so super duper not cheap... blardy panasonic.

watched ratatouille!!! Remy and his brother is like so super duper ultra cute!!! They looked more hamsters with long tail lor, hamster have the cute puffy cheek big roundish eyes look while rat has that sly ratty look... = NOT CUTE.

kinda inspired by that too... soo..... I MADE PASTA TODAY!!!!!

the ingredientsssssss

baby carrot, ham, veggie
shitake mushrooms, tomato paste, tomatoes
maggi mee, dumplings

firsst, wash the veggiesss

then, boil the baby carrots followed by green veg, remove the green veg, throw in the dumpling, remove the carrot and the dumpling, throw in the maggi mee, drain off the water...

now for the sauce...

chop the tomatoes into millipieces firssttt.

while chopping, boil like a small bowlfull of water, add tomato paste and whatever seasoning available. I added salt, pepper, grape seed oil, 5-spice powder, light soya sauce, maggi msg.

throw in the chopped tomatoes!!!

dont forget about the mushrooms and ham! slice the mushrooms and tear the ham and dump them into the sauce. let it simmer? for sometime till the tomatoes becomes a mushy mess. Simmer somemore to boil off excess water... till it becomes something like...

Finally... pour sauce onto noodles...

well... the green vege, dumpling and carrots are eaten seperately.

Talked to some random lecturer (think was the ex-IMM prac one) thinking that she was my FYP co-supervisor and talked to her for a good 10mins or so ranting about that stewpid ZnSO4.7H20 which refuse to dissolve... and she also explained bout what saturation blablabla... until, "Hydroponics?! I have no *dunnoe what* with hydroponics at all" ... Whoopsie! Finally the real Co-Supervisor came out... phew~

yes yes yes, completed the 7th Harry Potter already. Dunnoe why, kinda hate the ending leh... its all harry harry harry... no mention about the REAL HERO who died, bitten by a snake... Annddd, why must he die!!! SO SAD!!! Hes my favourite leh! Haiyar.

some weird eating habits...
1) i like to chew off the choco border of a kit kat bar that is broken into 4 pieces, and always the extreme ends first.
2) i like to eat my fillet-o-fish without tartar sauce, and eat it level by level...
3) i eat you mian bu yao rou, bu yao ji dan, shao mian, duo chai, and duo yi dian nah ge( no meat, no egg, less noodles, more vege, more nah ge(anchovies)
4) green apple juice bu yao bing (no ice)
5) i like milk pocky alot ... suddenly...
6) a Nescafe every thurs morning, green tea for other times.
7) i prefer soggy noodles to whatever QQ noodles.
6) i flatten Mac Fries and squeeze away the oil before eating...
7) my subway standard order is... turkey boobs, honey oat, all veges, red wine sauce, small meal with oatmeal rasin cookies and lemon tea.
9) I M TRYING NOT TO EAT MEAT(too much)...
10) it takes me 30mins to cook instant noodles...

and shiat lar, always late for classes nowadays...

anddd, should go for that pesta sukan thing or not!

anndddd, i should seriously start to study.

COMPRAINSSSSSSSSSS!!!

EEEWWW, fridays are soooooooooooooooooooooooo irritating!!! Coming to school at a blardy 9am just for a boring ONE hr tutorial on some totally DORTSIE module, and having to that that blardy project which chalks up 30% and no idea what the hell does the remaining 70& comprise of.

And my Thurs-ies, are soooooooooooooooooo stretched! 8am to 6pm, 6pm to... 10pm!!! EEEK YER!!!

Worst part... taking measurements!
1 chlorophyll extraction takes.. a good...30mins. cos, must cut the leaves, grind them, super low tech one, using the motar/pestle, put acetone, walk to level 3 to centrifuge the dissolving-in-acetone tubes. walk back to level 2, carefully pipette 3ml into curvette, measure. x 5 replicates x 5 different concentrations x 2 (2 types marh!) = 50 measurements x 30mins = !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R U KIDDING ME?! And thats only for CHLOROPHYLL. OMG. THERES SOMETHING CALL CHLOROPHYLL CONTENT METER, BIOTECH CANNOT BE SO LOW TECH ONE RITE!!! sighhhh~~~

Wont even get to touch a PCR machine or load 96wells gel... sigh!!!
