Bak Kut Teh party

had a Bak Kut Teh party some days ago, the spread consist of Bak Kut Teh, baked chix wings, stir-fry vege, pineapple fried rice, moist chocolate cake (homebaked!) and most imptly, the starter which is made alllllllmost by myself, Tuna + apple salad! =D

everybardy should know the fact that i'm not a very proficient cook... so if i host a cooking party, means hor... most prolly you gotta cook it yourself. =X

Next time i want a curry chicken party! and my version of clear soup bak kut teh(chix) party! And a Steak n Potato aka Western stuff party!

And so i tried making Watercress Soup, aka, Xi Yang Cai Tang.
made from real chicken stock hor, boiled 2 drumsticks for like 30mins?! Quite an attempt considering...i've almost nv handle raw meat b4?! super gross lor.

i think its not bad. =D got the natural glutamate taste from chicky, garlic, vege.

I think im just a naturally good cook lar.


Aug 12 - B.Biotech trio day out @ Ekka !
Went for the EKKA exhibition thing with Vivian and Huijie, and thanks to vivian's friend for sending us there! =D
Ekka festival is basically a hugeeeee exhibition thing that spans over many days, which can be inclusive of anything Brissy related suitable for young and old, but the main focus i think, is still on their agricultural stuff, so theres alot of animals involved. And i like animals! So happy for me!

waaaaaaaah, so many doggies!!! Some are really so super duper ultra cute! But, din see my favorite breed leh, where are the border collies!? Hugeeeeee dog show event. with like hundreds of dogs!

went down to fortitude valley for some asian grocery shopping! I found cheap tofu and soybean milk! very happy!!!

had subway for dinner, 1 foot shared by 3 person. one thing good about aussie subways is then... its cheaper than Sg!!! Like we bought 1foot for $6 and i can choice any type of subs!

Then we ended the ekka trip with some nice nice fireworks and a mad rush to the bus stop.

and for me... an irritated bus trip! stewpid bus driver who insist that i pay adult fare and not allowing me to top-up my zone 1 tic to a zone1-2 tic. sibei niao!
