Headed home for lunchie, CHAR BEEHOON. lol! fancy eating char beehoon in Bali... Jeeped back to the worksite for the welcomin ceremony at the community centre. Basically, all the impt ppl were there. Village Hatman(headman), head of this and head of that... many lar. AND EACH ONE GAVE A BLARDY LONG SPEECH IN INDONESIAN/BALINESE!!! sat cross legged for 2hrs?!

cant remember much for today... oh well ..

Back from Bali !!!

What an eventful trip which ended prematurely... lol!

Day 1 : Singapore -> Jakarta -> Bali -> Moncoh.

Mery came to fetch me at 6.30am in the morning, den we proceed to school as she has to get some stuff from her office and also, Joel and his parents are driving us to the airport.

After several torturous hours on Garuda Airlines, we finally arrived at our our destination, Bali. Whoohz, very nice Balinese-y airport they have there. That was also my virgin experience of walkin along the airplanes' runway. Lol... was thinkin that they might lay some red carpet for us too... hehehe!!!

Travelled for few hours and dined at this resort style place along the beach. Very nice view of the sea!!! At night, the twinklin stars flood the entire sky! WHOHX!!! After dinner, we head on for Moncoh, our village for 2 weeks!!

Moncoh is situated at some ulu volcanic mountain and theres no way that a biig bus like ours can reach. So, we transferred to the jeeps and had a four wheel ummz, FUN ride to our house.

The house itself is alright, waaaaaaaaaaay better than what i had expected earlier. It is made of proper bricks and stuff... i thought we are going to stay in attap house wannabes! LOL! Toilet was pretty scary but we soon get used to it. Did not dare to shower in that toilet for that day though.

1 day before Bali trip... T_T

eeekz!!! The Bali trip is gettin on my nerves now... kind of regretted signing up for this. Hope that the fun and stuff can make me forget about the "sufferings" i've been thru for the trip. Packing is driving me crazy as well. Ummz, the thing is, my suitcase is those soft shell type, meaning u hafta fill it up to the brim. Budden... i dont just dont know what else to fill it up with! Had already increase my no. of sets of clothing from 5 to 7... brought 2 windbreaker... wad else?! even with my shoebag and travel bag, it is not completely filled up! Sickening! Last resort is to bring along my ultra heavy sleeping bag, mine is just freaking huge?! WHY?! The thing is, my luggage cannot be too heavy as well... gotta bring it all the way to NP to meet Mery and Joel whose parent is gonna drive us to the Airport... Imagine climbing up and down the blardy overhead bridge with a heavy load?! NO!!!

i blogged today...!!!

whohx, finally, exams are over, its gonna be 6 weeks of intensive fun and enjoyment!!! Muahahaha!!!

Chronological of events (starting from the most recent)...

Grandma's 80th Birthday celebration!
A crazy 2 day event spanning from Saturday evening to Sunday night! On the eve of her birthday, there is this extremely elaborate ritual to thank "Ti Gong" aka Sky God (?), for her longevity and stuff. It started on the dot at 12am, and ended...around 4am?! Everyone was exhausted!!! There was altogether about 5 sessions of praying, kneeling, bowing and stuff led by the priest and his fellow comrades(2 musicians and 1 instructor...Lol). Everyone was supposed to follow suit but luckily, i (+ my sis and 2 cousins) were spared from this because we were deemed "unclean" ... (LoL, figure this out, out corpus lutuem stops generating enough progesterone to keep the uterine wall... lala), so, while others were chocking on the incense smoke, we were in the comfort of an air-con room watching taiwanese variety shows on the SCV. HA! The finale of the ritual were pretty interesting. All of my grandma's children + their familes were to kneel down infront of her and sort of... wish her longevity, prosperity, good health and stuff. Then, the offerings were distributed among her children and I reached home about 5am, Sunday morning. Poor cousins, Ivis who had to bake the 2 -tier birthday cake and her brothers who had to clean up the house.

The second part of the celebration, a 17 X 10 dinner! Ummz, 17 is the number of tables and 10 is the no. of people on each table. So guess the total number of guests?! All squeezed into the garden! FaintX! 10 dishes in 2.5hrs...hah!

Anyway, i would have opted for a celebration with the elaborate ritual and formal dinner for my grandma's bdae. A homecooked buffet styled dinner is soo much better.

A Shopaholic's addiction - SHOPPING
A Shopaholic's worst nitemare - Indecisiveness
Met the CMA on Sat to shop for my sandals at Queensway Shopping Centre. Proud to annouce that i was first to arrive at 1.08pm. 8mins late. The rest, around 2pm! BUWISH!!! Anyway, bought quite a number of stuff...
Nike Shoe Bag(yay! Best buy of the day)
Cheapo Yonex Sandals (not nice, but dont care!)
FBT shorts (regretted! Not really nice when worn!)

The Fencers were looking for their, supposedly, "rare" Fencing shoes but only to find out that those were already extinct! LOL! And, they thought those nice nice adidas TAEKWONDO shoes, with an ultra flat, flexi base were supposed to be their "rare" fencing shoes... lol!

After that, i chionged from Queensway to Paragon just to collect a box of chocz mooncake. Dortx! Almost made a wasted trip there... that dortsie salesguy told me that the collection was over! buwish him! IT WASNT, btw.

From Paragon, I chionged to my Uncle's house for my grandma bdae thingy, that 190 bus uncle was cranky but funny! Lol! He ordered and kinda of scolded everyone to squeeze and move to the back of the bus. Then, i think he was acting out the scene of that rice advertisement about going home for dinner thing. Lol, he was like, " EH! Move back... MOVE BACK!!! Bus driver hungry oready!"

Met alot of peeps too. First is Darryl and his gf(?), TWICE! The first time he din recognise me sommore! buwish! Next were Men Yee on 190! Finally, on the way to my uncle's place, there is the crazy steep slope thing to overcome... luckily, a cool, red Jaguar stopped and picked me up. Hehehhee!!!

LOL! THAT DRIVER WAS MY AUNT LAR!

End of mid year exam!!!
IPC was the last paper and darn, I just dont have the motivation to study for the last subject! Quite a no. of dont-know-how qns, hope i will still get my B+ or B.

After the paper, we (cindys, sharon, tiff, patrick, Hung, linus, SG, jeremy) went to have dinner at Swensens. Mine was Fish and Chips, not really that ggod anyway. Still prefer the dory fillet thing i had a cartel. After dinner, some of them left while the remaining went to catch a movie, "The Longest Yard" darngish funny show! Laughed lots! RECOMMANDED movie of the year! After the movie, they were planning for some other activities but I'hv decided to leave early... PiSSED off.

Summarisation of the papers:
*Maths and Stats
Similar to past years paper but more simple. No difficult differentiation or chim statistics. Hope to get an A but thats quite impossible given my previous test results. Haix!

*Physiological system
An alright-ish paper. Can do most of the qn. Hope to get a A if possible! At least an A or B+!!!

*Microbiology
surprisingly easier than the tests he set previously. One was an unprepared memorising test while the other was a unexpected Source Based format. LoL. Greg Chow. Dortx! B or B+ hopefully. Dont quite dare to set high expectations for M.Bio yet.

*Inorganic and Physical Chemistry
aww, crap, did not really study enought for this subject! Very angry with myself!!! Not in the mood of studying... even spent one night to play Harvest Moon! Slap myself! I better get at least a B !!! URGH! even dared to be pretty confident the night!!! DUNG!

Kheng Theng + Chin Yan's Belated Bday Celebration
happened quite sometime ago, but it was awesomet! Had sheer fun, good food, lame jokes, crazy ideas, great friends and nice movie(Red Eye). Perfect outing! read more about the celebration at my fren's blog(marcus) hiak! Crazy pics can by found on my imagestation album.

The forming of C.M.A (Chao Mugger Association)
the very first task of CMA was to defeat Greggy Chow's test on that faithful Sat. But sad to say, all that crazy mugging went down the drain as he had set a SBQs test. Buwish! Following tasks were, MST 1, Phys, MBio and lastly, IPC. All the best to CMA members!
